What Is the Sotogrande Scarf?
The Sotogrande is our very first silk scarf, a limited edition created with equestrian artist Katerina Morgan. Think of it as a new way to carry a little of The Gilded Horse with you, one that sits beautifully beside the necklaces and pendants you already love. Our jewelry holds the horse in gold and silver. This piece lets you wear it in soft, flowing silk, 90 by 90 cm (about 35 x 35 in) of it, printed with a whole world of its own. The same spirit, simply a different canvas.
It was made for the woman who lives and breathes horses, and who likes her favorite pieces to carry a story worth telling.
The Surrealist Story Behind the Print
The print was born in Sotogrande, Spain, where sun, polo, and a touch of surrealism all found their way into one design. That is where Katerina began. Drawing on surrealist art, she imagined a dreamlike scene where horses seem to slip in and out of the trees around them, almost there and almost not. She carried that quiet magic onto silk as a design all her own.

Up close, the idea comes to life: horses mid-stride, soft stripes, a whisper of chain detail. It feels familiar at first glance, then a little unexpected the longer you look. Classic equestrian, with a dreamer’s twist.
The Craft: Italian Silk Twill and Hand-Rolled Edges
It is 100% silk twill, 90 by 90 cm (about 35 x 35 in), with hand-rolled edges, printed in Italy, exactly the way a fine scarf should be. Silk twill is what gives the colors their depth and the scarf its gentle weight, so it drapes softly and stays where you put it instead of slipping away. The edges are rolled by hand rather than cut by machine, and that small, quiet detail is what turns a scarf into something you keep for years.

The details, in short:
-
Fabric: 100% silk twill
-
Size: 90 by 90 cm (about 35 x 35 in).
-
Edges: hand-rolled
-
Print: Italy
-
Edition: first edition, 100 pieces
Why There Are Only 100
This is a first edition of just 100 pieces, and once they are gone, they are gone for the season. It is the opening chapter of something new for the collection, so we are keeping this first drop small and close. When the last one finds its person, that is the end of the run until we write the next chapter. Every scarf is in hand and ships now.
How to Style the Sotogrande
It loves to be layered with the jewelry you already wear. Draped long over the shoulders, knotted softly at the neck, or tied to a favorite bag, the green, brown, and gold print settles easily over neutrals and feels just as at home at the polo as it does slipping out to lunch. Pair it with a necklace or the Classic Anchored Horse Pendant, and it finishes the look without ever stealing the scene.
